AUBURN, N.H. —
The Auburn School District is getting a helping hand from one New Hampshire school.

In light of the Auburn School District announcing they are nearly $800,000 over budget this school year, officials at Pinkerton Academy said they plan to give up to $30,000 to help combat the spending issue.

School officials said the money can go toward funding spring sports, field trips and arts and music programs.

“As partners with the Auburn community, we recognize the integral role of these experiences in the lives of students,” Board President Dr. William Nevious said. “We are joining our support to the efforts of the parents and the broader Auburn community who are working to minimize the impact of this emergency on the students of Auburn.”

In the meantime, school officials said money for field trips, classroom supplies, spring sports and school bus transportation are on hold.
